What do we do?

5 Dec

Stuart Bruce pulled it all together: we’re still doing public relations, but in new ways.

Society is changing: people want to be listened to, not talked at.

PR isn’t dead, but we all need to change the way we work.

Stuart illustrated the immediacy of social media by showing chatter on Twitter from today’s conference.

Thanks for all the updates throughout the day Richard. What, with you and Tom Murphy posting the day’s events, I feel like I’ve been there myself!
Also, plenty of new thoughts and topics for future blog postings…

My goal was to write a short blog summary of each presentation at a social media conference – by typing one-fingered on a small mobile device. Perhaps twitter would have been a more suitable instant publishing platform…

I agree that we all want to be listened to and that’s why we write our blogs. We get fed up of being talked at and now we want to talk back!
