We’ve had our graduation ceremony. I’ve said ‘congratulations’ to as many happy faces as I could recognise amongst the throng. Now I’m keen to learn your news (beyond your break in Ibiza, that is).
I still sense that there are more employers looking for good candidates than there are good graduates in need of work. But the economy’s a fine balancing act and many factors can upset it. Besides, today’s graduates will have loans to pay off and will face the difficulty of stepping on the housing ladder (by which point people will be telling them they’re already late in starting a private pension).
We now know the name of Stuart‘s new consultancy – Wolfstar. I wish them well and hope to have plenty of contact with them in future. They’re recruiting, and several of the newer team members have already introduced themselves: there’s Beth Kay, a design management graduate from Leeds University and Sebastian Mysko, a marketing management graduate from Northumbria University. Competion for entry-level PR positions is fierce, and by no means limited to PR graduates.
Congrats to all!

Congrats to your students! The “real world” is tough, but (I cannot remember who said this) “when life kicks you, let it kick you forward.”
