I’ve been popping into Global PR Blog Week, but not participating directly. This has been refreshing as it allows greater perspective.
There’s much good material and some really good writing. For me, the most rewarding theme was on transparency (in the context of, but not about, blogs). PR works best when it’s invisible – but this can lead to unethical practice. So it needs to be truthful and transparent (though they’re not the same thing). As a rule of thumb, don’t do anything that you wouldn’t be happy to become known – and in the online age it’s becoming harder to cover your traces. You have been warned.
Thanks to the contributors and moderators.
